SEARS deals ($10 off $20)

Sears has a $10 off a $20 purchase coupon. This coupon expires on 10/23. My cashier let me keep the coupon and use it multiple times. I would recommend printing off many coupons though.
http://www.sears.com/ue/home/1015_SearsDays_10off20_DB.pdf

Here's a breakdown of my deals...

Item - Retail Price - Sale Price

Pink Capris - $6.98 - $2.99
Black Tights - $4.98 - $2.49
Dress - $50.00 - $20.00
Jacket - $60.00 - $19.99
Baby suit - $32.00 - $19.20
Boy suit - $37.99 - $21.99

TOTAL - $191.95 - $86.66

I bought everything in 4 different transactions. Keeping my totals as close to $20 as possible and using the coupon.

TOTAL SPENT OOP (including tax) $51.00
That is a 73% savings off Retail.

I think I got some SMOKIN' deals! Last year I was on the hunt for a dress for Madison and I couldn't find anything remotely cute for under $30. I usually spend about $17 for my boys suits.

To only spend $51 on two suits, dress, capris, tights, and a jacket is a GREAT deal, in my opinion!

SO, those of you who have a SEARS close by, make use of the coupon and score some GREAT deals!

Touch-A-Truck

I decided that it would be super fun for the kids to go to the Touch-A-Truck at Tim's Toyota Center. The kids seemed excited to go and check out all the cool trucks...
When we get there, there was a Pepsi truck that was letting the kids get in and honk the horn. the honk was VERY load, but the kids were having fun...so "who cares." Well Gavin really really CARED! He was throwing the biggest fit you have ever seen coming from a four-year old. He HATED the honking and would yell "STOP" everytime a kid honked the horn. After 10 minutes of being at the event, I had ENOUGH!!!!!!! LOL....so we went home.
So, how was the Touch-A-Truck....? BAD IDEA!
Needless to say, Gavin got grounded from the Wii for an entire WEEK. And if you know Gavin, this is a HUGE deal!
Lessons Learned:
  • Don't take Gavin to Touch-A-Truck.
  • Don't do something that you think your kids will enjoy, because they probably won't!!!!
  • Don't take Gavin to Touch-A-Truck
  • Eat before you go.
  • Don't take Gavin to Touch-A-Truck
  • Don't allow kids to honk the loud semi-truck horn.
  • Don't take Gavin to Touch-A-Truck
