SEARS deals ($10 off $20)

Sears has a $10 off a $20 purchase coupon. This coupon expires on 10/23. My cashier let me keep the coupon and use it multiple times. I would recommend printing off many coupons though.
http://www.sears.com/ue/home/1015_SearsDays_10off20_DB.pdf

Here's a breakdown of my deals...

Item - Retail Price - Sale Price

Pink Capris - $6.98 - $2.99
Black Tights - $4.98 - $2.49
Dress - $50.00 - $20.00
Jacket - $60.00 - $19.99
Baby suit - $32.00 - $19.20
Boy suit - $37.99 - $21.99

TOTAL - $191.95 - $86.66

I bought everything in 4 different transactions. Keeping my totals as close to $20 as possible and using the coupon.

TOTAL SPENT OOP (including tax) $51.00
That is a 73% savings off Retail.

I think I got some SMOKIN' deals! Last year I was on the hunt for a dress for Madison and I couldn't find anything remotely cute for under $30. I usually spend about $17 for my boys suits.

To only spend $51 on two suits, dress, capris, tights, and a jacket is a GREAT deal, in my opinion!

SO, those of you who have a SEARS close by, make use of the coupon and score some GREAT deals!

Touch-A-Truck

I decided that it would be super fun for the kids to go to the Touch-A-Truck at Tim's Toyota Center. The kids seemed excited to go and check out all the cool trucks...
When we get there, there was a Pepsi truck that was letting the kids get in and honk the horn. the honk was VERY load, but the kids were having fun...so "who cares." Well Gavin really really CARED! He was throwing the biggest fit you have ever seen coming from a four-year old. He HATED the honking and would yell "STOP" everytime a kid honked the horn. After 10 minutes of being at the event, I had ENOUGH!!!!!!! LOL....so we went home.
So, how was the Touch-A-Truck....? BAD IDEA!
Needless to say, Gavin got grounded from the Wii for an entire WEEK. And if you know Gavin, this is a HUGE deal!
Lessons Learned:
  • Don't take Gavin to Touch-A-Truck.
  • Don't do something that you think your kids will enjoy, because they probably won't!!!!
  • Don't take Gavin to Touch-A-Truck
  • Eat before you go.
  • Don't take Gavin to Touch-A-Truck
  • Don't allow kids to honk the loud semi-truck horn.
  • Don't take Gavin to Touch-A-Truck

FREE and CLEAR

Our TRUCK is PAID OFF!!
Exactly 2 years later...our truck is 100% ours! I couldn't be happier. Just one step closer to being DEBT FREE :)
And isn't it a beautiful truck...

Cheri and Heath

My sister Cheri got MARRIED on July 30th. We couldn't be happier for her. She is such a strong and amazing woman. She was honestly the prettiest bride I have ever seen. She looked phenominal! She married Heath Ferrin, who is a GREAT guy and treats her like a Queen! They will start off with an instant family because Cheri already has a son, Trenton. We are so happy for them and know that they will have an awesome life! CONGRATULATIONS

Thanks to Phillip Flores who provided these pictures! He did an amazing job. Visit his website if you are interested in getting your photos taken :)...

T-Ball

Madison and Gavin just had their last T-ball game.
They loved...
their uniforms, snacks, gloves, batting, being the Diamondbacks, pregame and their friends.
They did not love...
standing around and never touching the ball while the other team batted.
GOTTA LOVE 'EM!!
(will add pictures later...computer is being annoying)

Kindergarten GRADUATE

Madison graduated from KINDERGARTEN on May 27th from Coyote Springs Elementary. I can hardly believe it! She is such a big girl. She can read, write, and draw like a CHAMP! She is such a smarty. We love love love her. She had the best teacher in the world (Mrs. Richey) and absolutely loved going to school. I literally did not have one complaint about her experience, school and teacher!

Stetson's FIRST birthday

Stetson turned ONE on May 28th. What a BIG boy he is. He is my Angel baby! He NEVER cries and is sooo happy! We all love him so much. What a blessing he has been to our family :)

CHEESECAKE! (much better than birthday cake!)

Stetson was HALARIOUS with this ball. It was wrapped up and he knew it was a ball, so instead of opening it he just threw it around. (THX Matt and Mitzi!)

Don't you just love the new jean diapers! HUGGIES BABY :)

CHIEF PILOT

JC was made Chief Pilot for Guidance Helicopters on May 26th!
We are SO PROUD of his accomplishments!
GO JC ;)

College GRADUATE

JC is officially DONE with COLLEGE!!! . He will get a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Administration. We are so excited to be done with this chapter of our lives!

HALLELUJAH :)
**post edit: JC's career does not require a college degree. We just felt it extremely important to have an education! So, his graduating doesn't effect his job at all. We will be staying in Prescott and JC will still be doing the same job (which he LOVES)!

FREE taxes

I just did my 2009 taxes for FREE. I e-filed both my state and federal taxes for FREE! It's a pretty sweet deal. There are 3 ways to qualify to file for FREE...

http://turbotax.intuit.com/taxfreedom/

click on the link to check it out. Definitely worth your time!

**I think that if you can't e-file free, they will charge a small fee and you still don't have to buy the turbotax program ($50-$80). Either way, it's a great deal!

Javelina Hunt

JC and his friend Bryan did the January Javelina hunt this year. They both got a javelina! They also put in for a drawing to win the "biggest javelina" prize. Currently Bryan is 1st and JC is 2nd.

Hair Cut

When my sister Cheri was down for Thanksgiving I had her cut Madison's hair! She cut about 8 inches off! I was really hesitant at first...but I LOVE it! It is about shoulder length with layers!
