Houston, TX

Thursday JC and I were able to go to the Houston Temple. We did sealings of couples and families. It was a great reminder how important our sealing covenant is! We were able to reflect on the blessings an eternal family brings to our lives. We are sealed to each other and our children for eternity. This is such an AMAZING blessing that Heavenly Father has chosen to give us!

Bikes

HOLY SMoKES my baby is getting HUGE!!!!

I keep telling him to SToP growing but he doesn't listen.

He LOVES riding his bike. This officially makes him a big boy!!!

We have been going on bike rides (while mom runs) almost daily.

This is Stetson's favorite thing!

Did I mention he's DARN CUTE ;)

Toothless!

Gavin lost his first tooth today (naturally). He was so excited and cannot wait for the TOOTH FAIRY to come!

Mardi Gras

This year we celebrated a "NEW" holiday for our family. MARDI GRAS....and it was pretty awesome! Our kids loved it and we got a bazillion necklaces! almost 200 to be exact. It is amazing how hardcore Louisiana is about Mardi Gras.

Next year we are trying "King Cake." Have NO CLUE what that is, but apparently it's awesome!!!

Louisiana

I cannot believe that we have been in Louisiana for almost 6 weeks now. I LOVE LOVE it. It's been such a great move for our family. We are very happy!

JC's job is going perfectly. We get to see him every night AND he gets 2 weeks off a month. Can't beat that!

The kids and I are adjusting well. We have met some GREAT people. The people here are so nice and caring. Everyone introduces themselves and are so willing to help. It has been sooooo different from AZ because we have a small ward that covers hundreds of miles...but it's still the Gospel. I actually love our ward. I couldn't be happier with our choice of house, ward, town, school, etc.

The kids school wears uniforms, ALL of Louisiana schools do! So, I had to go buy ALL NEW clothes for the kids when we got here. That was fun...NOT! Hopefully it will save me $ in the long run, but it sure hasn't so far!!! The uniform thing is nice though in the mornings because there's no choice on what to wear. It's just the same ole same ole!!!
